I had a doctors appointment yesterday and they did my swab for Group B Strep so I should be getting the results from that soon. I didn't get my cervix checked, that is supposed to happen at my appointment next week. Apparently my doctor does voluntary inductions a week before your due date, so depending on if there are any changes in my cervix. So D and I are thinking about the pros and cons of being induced. On one hand I believe that Izzy will come when she is ready, and i heard that inductions can be very hard and painful, and also end in a c-section alot of times. But on the other hand, I will be 39 weeks at that time, and it would be really convenient to have a scheduled date due to D's work schedule, he can prepare to take that time off. We will talk about it and talk to our pastor after our next appointment to see what we wanna do. It may be a moot point based on my cervix anyway.
The nursery is about 90% complete. I have all my wall decals up, and I have bought a bookcase for baby. I also bought a baby Bjorn at a steal on craigslist for $30. I still need to get bookends, picture frames, a basket for her blankets, storage for her pacifiers and hair accessories, and a hamper. I have a few clothes left to wash and I need to sanitize her bottles and pacifiers. I also have a few things I need to hang on the walls. I plan on getting the letters to spell her name this weekend. My dad was supposed to do it, but he hasn't yet so I'm just going to take care of it myself. I'm still considering getting a glider, but I have to find one at a steal of a price cause I just don't want to send alot of money on it.
Other than that, we are ready to go . Bags are packed, we just need to add electronics and chargers once we are ready to go.
I have so much stuff to do around the house though. I need to really deep clean cause people will be coming over after she gets here, and I know I wont feel like cleaning up anything for at least that first week.
Updates:
How Far Along? 36 weeks 7days (week 37) only 22 more days left!
Symptoms: sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. I'm always tired now. I'm also feeling the pain from my pelvis starting to stretch and open up (I forgot the medical term for it), it hurts to walk sometimes, and it definitely hurts to get in and out of bed at night (we have a high bed with a pillow top mattress), and I'm definitely feeling the pressure when she starts to push down every once in a while, having alot more braxton hicks. they are not painful but just uncomfortable.
Total Weight Gain: I'm up to 193. :( Time to start walking!
Measurement:
I am still measuring at 42.5 inches.
Maternity Clothes: I am in full maternity wear.
except maternity underwear. I refuse to wear those.
Stretch Marks: no stretch marks on my belly. I have two forming on my sides (one on each side) but I'm trying to keep them oiled so that they don't spread. lol. Everything is still good here.
Sleep: As I said in the section about my symptoms, I am sleepy all the time now. but I have too much to do, I don't have time to sleep!
Food Cravings: I still love toast, and simply orange juice with mango
Best Moment This Week: Getting the nursery pretty much complete.
Movement: All day long. I feel more pushing, stretching, and rolling movements, but she still gets some good kicks in there. She hiccups alot too. all her movements are much more pronounced now, to the point where hubby can feel her hiccups too! Its weird cause since she is head down, i feel the hiccups in my pelvis cause that's where she likes to wedge her head at. lol She's so sometimey though. she really only moves for me and her daddy. Oh and when we are in church. any other time someone comes around trying to feel her move, she stops instantly. lol
Labor Signs: No more painful braxton hicks! I still get them, but now it just feels like my belly get really tight and hard, but it doesn't hurt. my pelvic area is sore like I got kicked with a steel toe boot, but I'm not sure if that counts as a labor symptom
Belly Button In or Out? Total outtie at this point
What I Miss: I really miss sleeping on my back. I miss being intimate with my hubby comfortably (TMI I know), I definitely miss not being in pain at this point. I still love being pregnant, and want my baby to bake as long as possible, but I'm ready to feel like myself again. absolutely nothing has changed here. lol
What I Am Looking Forward To: I'm looking forward to meeting my baby!
Milestones: I don't think I have any new milestones this week. Just glad that everything is going normally.
Weekly Wisdom: I'm due this month! I have at the most 3 weeks. And I'm currently full term, so technically she can come any day now!!
I am sooo ready for maternity leave. D and I have been talking. We both really, really want me to be able to stay home with her instead of sending her to daycare, but based on our budget we can't see how that would be a feasible option without D working an insane amount of hours every week, or getting a big raise or new job. We are still looking for other options, so we will see what happens. I really pray that we are able to work that out.
