Financial Fridays

On another note, I have increased my credit score about 124 points in the last 6 months. So I am now at the point where I can qualify for a mortgage! Hubby still has some things to clean up on his credit, but that's ok, because we always planned on only using the lowest income to get a home mortgage so that we could lower our monthly debt. Also there is virtually no debt in my name. Just one loan that I'm paying off from my bank, that has like a $100/ month payment. So I'm very interested in seeing where this process takes us, because we have been interested in buying property for a while now. I will definitely keep you updated on the process.

baby update

How Far Along? 7 weeks 7 days (but I say I'm in my 8th week)

Symptoms: My symptoms this week have been fatigue and nausea. I haven't thrown up but I definitely get queasy and light headed.  

Total Weight Gain: Ok my weight has gone up to 160. :( Not too bad seeing as how I have about 4 more weeks in this trimester, but I need to try to not gain any more than one pound for the rest of my first trimester. So now I'm at a 5 pound weight gain. I was at 155 at my first doctors appointment,

Measurement: I'm adding this category now. I am measuring at 34 inches right below my belly button. So that means my pooch has grown an inch. It looks a lot bigger in person. lol. I know that this is just bloat or fat because my uterus is still behind my pelvic bone. Hubby was amazed last night and was like wow my baby is making your stomach grow already. I didn't have the heart to tell him that it was just me and my fat. lol


Maternity Clothes: none yet. I am however about to go through my clothes and put away all my tight fitting shirts for a while since I'm kinda bloated and don't want anything tight on my tummy. Still haven't done this yet, probably this weekend.

Stretch Marks: none yet. I bought Palmer's lotion for stretch marks, but I don't think I like how it smells so i don't know if I will continue to use that. but I have started oiling up every day. I have been really lazy with oiling up. I think it's cause I really don't like the smell. I have to figure something out though.

Sleep: I'm always tired. no matter how much sleep I get. I heard this eases up after the first trimester though. Nothings changed here. lol

Food Cravings: No real cravings this week, more like I can't find something I like. I'm eat but I'm not really satisfied.

Best Moment This Week: Best moment is hubby talking to my stomach.

Movement: none yet.

Labor Signs: none! prayerfully not for at least another 32 weeks

What I Miss: having energy to do things. having a clean house. lol

What I Am Looking Forward To: Hearing baby's heartbeat

Milestones: I guess my milestone this week would be making it through being sick.

Weekly Wisdom: stay away from sick kids!

I have been so sick. My nephew had strep throat and I caught it from him. And of course since I'm in my first trimester, I can't take any medications. I was so miserable. Luckily, thanks to rest, lots of fluids and a humidifier I'm now back to normal. Or what is now my new normal. lol.
Eventually I will get around to taking some pictures. I really want to do a weekly thing and keep it, but I'm still trying to decide how I'm going to do it. I think I'm gonna peruse pinterest for some ideas.
I have a pretty busy two weeks coming up. I have a doctor's appointment next Friday, Hubby performs next Saturday, 4th of July is the week after that, and I have another doctor's appointment with a new doctor to see if I want to switch. My current doctor's office only has one doctor and no nurse practitioner. This makes for long waits when the is at the hospital delivering babies. Also the patients in his office are kinda hood. Not really the place where I want to be for a large amount of time for the next 7 months.
OMG I just realized I only have 7ish months! That's crazy!

baby update

Ok here is my weekly update, I know I'm a day late, but bear with me. lol.

How Far Along? 6 weeks 7 days (but I say I'm in my 7th week)

Symptoms: nothings changed here: fatigue, some days I have mild cramps (which I have been told is my uterus stretching), a few headaches, and mild nausea every once in a while.

Total Weight Gain: I don't weigh myself every morning anymore, But I have definitely gained weight. Not sure if its because of my eating or if it's bloating, but I'm now at 158. defiantly trying to control my weight gain though. Oh, and I'm pretty sure my boobs have grown, I gotta go get measured this weekend.

Weekly Wisdom: drink more water

For the rest of this week and next week my focus is on being consistent with exercise and also with my eating. I also really need to start getting my house in order. Its hard cause I get really tired, and it hits me out of nowhere, but I at least need to do like one or two things everyday. We also need to sit down next week and go over our budget, and see where we can increase savings, and trim the fat from other areas. I'm probably gonna start taking weekly pictures when I'm in my 8th week. Oh, and I need to figure out what to do for hubby for Father's Day.

New News!

So..... the reason I have not updated on weight loss and taking the saltwater flush is because I am pregnant! I am technically 5 weeks and 5 days, but I say I'm in my 6th week. We are very excited, very happy, and very nervous. lol. We are nervous because we are wondering how many babies are in there! We are hoping for just one, but of course we will love however many children we may have. Twins run in both of our families, and we know that twins are alot of work, especially for first time parents but we will see. lol

I am going to do weekly updates, I'm going to try to do them every Thursday but we will see.
I've been feeling pretty good so far, so I hope everything stays that way. I go in for my first ultrasound next week, so we will see how many babies are in there and hopefully be able to hear the heartbeat!

I'm also gonna start taking weekly pictures as soon as i find a shirt that i think I will be able to fit throughout my entire pregnancy.

I'm already classified as overweight (according to my BMI) so I really don't want to gain more that 15 pounds this pregnancy. That may not be possible, but I would like to stay as close to that number as possible. I'm eating alot of fruits and salads and of course drinking water. I'm being conscious of my carb intake and since my dance show is over, Ive started going to the gym, walking on the treadmill for an hour and then doing light weights for arms, back, and chest. I actually have been eating less because i get full faster, but i eat more frequently, so I'm working on having healthy snacks for me to grab.

Total Weight Gain: pretty much the same, i fluctuate between losing a pound and gaining a pound (I weigh myself every morning. lol)

Food Cravings: I had my first craving this week for spaghetti! The two days I ate it, I was in heaven, but last night i got a little nauseous after eating it, so now I don't want any more AT ALL! now I want a toasted turkey sub from subway with BBQ chips and I'm loving vanilla pudding right now.

What I Am Looking Forward To: seeing the baby on the ultrasound and hearing the heartbeat

Milestones: Getting pregnant! I've been wanting to start our family for a while, and finally getting hubby on board is an accomplishment. By the grace of God we got pregnant on the first try, so I am continuously praying that this is an uneventful pregnancy that ends with baby(ies) and I being healthy.
